ISS where still licking their wounds from the last meeting against this 1st division team in the same league as ISS. ISS went for a 4-4-2 formation. There where 5 changes from last match, with a new partnership in midfield.
1st Half:-
Peppered in the 1st 10-15mins of the match GK, kept ISS in the Game as ISS were Sleep walking on the pitch, with a string of fine saves. As you can see London Angels wanted to finish the match early doors like the last encounter. The score would have easily been 3-0 in ten minutes. And you can feel it was only a matter of time before the ISS house broke down. As London Angel (LA) Big Forward got behind the defence and powered an unstoppable volley into the roof of the net 1-0 LA. ISS got the wakeup smelling salts they needed and started to get a foot on the ball. Then a chance was coolly created as Otis was through on goal but did a tame shot straight at the keeper to his own annoyance. But LA came back and kept on getting behind ISS right back, too much joy. GK did a fine flying full stretch save when the LA player tried to bend it like Beckham into the bottom corner, and tip the shot onto the bar, then there was another chance when a powerful shot was once again touch on to the post and out...WOW ISS still in the game.
From a direct ball into the box caused confusion in the LA box and Lucas let loose an unstoppable volley into the bottom corner 1-1 ISS lets get it on. LA were stunned. Once again good stops from Mat and Keron at the back helped and the constant running and guile of Lucas and Otis left LA needing to double up on both forwards 24/7; Midfield got more of a grip and ISS were in the grove. Then another great passing move and Otis made amends of his earlier miss with a class finish into the bottom corner, 2-1 ISS! LA were totally stunned again and were 2nd best. But totally against the run of play the tricky LA full back broke through and Mohammed took the player down - STONEWALL penalty VEX. LA had produced nothing in the last 10mins. The same fullback stepped up and placed pen in the bottom corner GK almost got a hand to it, but it got in DAMN! 2-2 at halftime.
2nd Half:-
LA started very brightly but no real chances where created. Then a ball through was accidently diverted to an LA player from a header from Danny, which wrong foot the keeper and the LA big forward made it 3-2 out of an ISS error. Heads went down and LA seem to regroup being extra tight on our forwards but playing on the break more. Maddy was on in the 2nd half as fullback and did loads of runs, but the problem as usually for ISS that the two touch play went out of the window and too many were playing like individuals. Also ISS were being constantly been caught offside. within a space of 10mins LA went 4-2 up with the big forward getting behind the ISS defence and ISS not going with the runners, he did a powerful low cross and the no. 7 (causes ISS all sorts of problems) had a simple tap in into an empty net. ISS head were firmly down shouting and encouragement went out of the window. And it was LA's No. 7 to give ISS no way back, as he was through on GOAL, keeper came out with a 50/50 challenge, but some how it squirmed underneath myself, back to the No.7 and had an open goal to finish. LA did there 3 subs at once like Mourinho while Niyi put on Jeff for Otis. LA took their foot of the gas, as ISS tried but no way in. Then there was a collision with the LA keeper and Jeff, Jeff got injured and Sadly at the end of the match we had to wait for ambulance as it emerge that Jeff most likely had broken his ankle. Get well soon Jeff.
Oh well ISS are out of the cup, but LA are a good Side and ISS form is gradually improving, which will help for ISS next league game.
Man of the Match - KELECHI (GK):- Some Great Saves Kept ISS in the Game, vast improvement from 1st two games of the YEAR.

To Say ISS have been struggling of late is a total understatement, with too many past games being over in the 1st half. Certain scorelines you think ISS FC is really ISS RFC and are losing in Rugby or Cricket match, not a football match.
1st Half:-
IDS ripped ISS apart last time and confidence was LOW from last two defeats. ISS started in a 4-4-2 formation. And dominated early proceeding with IDS not having a corner in the 1st half and the GK (yours truly) not required to save a single SHOT in the 1st half. ISS were camped in IDS half and created a number of chances. But at the other end ISS kept on being caught from balls over the top that was causing ISS problems throughout. IDS had a tricky No. 10 midfielder but Wahab & Arcan handled him well, if IDS were ever going to score it was through him. Junior and Wayne were solid in midfield, with junior doing many a crunching tackle, while Wayne was constantly skipping past players like he's playing 'Hop - Skip and Jump' on the playground. Otis & Lucas worked tirelessly upfront in terms of closing down defenders, dropping short to receive the ball and running behind the defence.
The defence were more focus and the return of Arnold was a big boost to ISS in terms of pace at the back (myself and Mat are no spring chicken, but more like overcooked fowl) Maddy had never played full back in his LIFE, but due to standard ISS players no show let down, Niyi had no choice and he played like a duck to water. YOUNG GOMEZ is experiencing playing for a full team for the 1st time in ages and is growing rapidly in this league.
After all the pressure and some last minute rushes from the GK...ISS finally scored with some serious one touch passing that left IDS for DEAD. As Otis was through on goal, with a low angled finish that the GK could only get a hand-on, but could not stop nestling in the net. For once the usual 2,000 touches per man was put aside for a very clinical goal.
ISS tails were now up and GOMEZ was through on goal and should have made it 2-0 in 2mins after the 1st goal but effort was more of a pass back to the GK. DAMN ISS only go into halftime at 1-0 up. IDS cannot play that badly for two halves, And later on this was proven so...
2nd Half:-
IDS must have been given some red hot pepper up their ar$e at halftime as they came out in red hot form and put ISS under pressure. Then IDS had their 1st corner of the match ISS did not clear their lines, IDS player turned on a sixpence and hit the top corner, GK no chance 1-1 one chance one goal ruthless finishing. Then before ISS could blink BANG 2-1 IDS, ball over the top, caught the defence and GK out and the IDS forward powered forward and blasted the ball in the bottom corner GK had no chance. But ISS Heads dropped instantly and at points were badly all over the place like lemmings following the same ball (hmm at one point there was 3 players after one ball). Fortunately ISS regrouped in time and then Maddy made a mazy run was one-and-one with the keeper and finished aplomb 2-2...GAME ON. ISS were High as a kite and both teams had chances to win the game. IDS hit the post with a flick header, while with 10mins left sub Jeff came on and unfortunately fluff his lines when one-on-one with the keeper which would have sealed it for ISS, Arrggh the pain.
Then the last real chance fell to IDS from a corner with minutes left. With a loop header aiming for the top corner of the GOAL, Niyi and a number of players thought that it was in and another defeat. But Somehow the GK got a hand to the ball and deflected it over (Save of the match) and ISS will at last get something from a match even though they deserved more.
Man-of-the-Match:- JUNIOR. Great tackles throughout the game that gave confidence throughout the team to do well.
